COMPARING RESEARCH OF THE UNIVERSITIES STRATEGIC PLANS WITH EACH OTHERS (EXAMPLE OF MEDITERRANEAN REGION GOVERNMENT AND FOUNDATION UNIVERSITIES)

Summary/Abstract: According to DPT (Government Planning Organization) Regulation, the Strategic Plans which were prepared by the Universities including of the Mediterrannean Region (9 Govermental, 5 Foundation) were examined by one by and compared with each others. Strategic Plans that were prepared by Universities as a higher education association have been accepted a main source as a pioner of scientific knowledge for other organizations. This study was completed by using the “qualitative design”, amplying “document examining” method, doing “deseriptive analysis” and using “benchmarking technics”. The Chapters of Strategic Plans of these universities were researched as Preparation Studies, Case Studies, View of the Future, Cost Analizing, Follow-up Evaluation acordding to the DPT Quideline as a document analyzing. Appropriatness of the research criterias and deficiences have been mentioned to use at the another studies for the future.
