Summary/Abstract: Laboratory has been used for many different purposes in Science Education. It is possible to form in five groups the approaches about the laboratory using purposes. These are; confirming approach, induction approach, approach of cognitive ability process, approach of technical abilities and contrivance approach. Another common using form of laboratory is to be used for performing the demonstration experiment. The most important qualification of demonstration experiment is “the teacher’s performing the experiment” and “the students’ following this experiment”. Among the aims of using laboratories in science education, are increasing students' ability to reason, problem solving and developing scientific process skills, and motivation to learn science. Just as it is not possible to teach art without painting and canvas, it is not possible to give a qualified science education without using a laboratory or experimenting.
