University vs the technocratic and business-oriented approach

Summary/Abstract: The interview included several topics concerning university regarded as the knowledge production space, a place forming future elites, and a place of work. Philosopher Małgorzata Kowalska presents an extensive analysis of the current trends in university functioning and of the changes in the work of academics. She also shows the consequences of neoliberal entanglement of university for the understanding of its mission and defining the essence of university teachers’ work.
