Summary/Abstract: It is easy to notice that the generational differences are becoming more and more visible. In reference to post-socialist countries we compare the generation of people who having been brought up in the industrial age had to adapt to the living and working conditions in the information age with the generation which was already brought up in the information age. These generations are denoted with symbols X and Y. The article aims at showing the differences in preferred values, conditioned by the age and professional experience. Additionally, the research involves the study of the new generation, denoted as Z, people who have just started their professional career.
