Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is showing the metaphorical approach to organizational culture. In the process of its realization metaphor of mechanism and organism were used. The conclusions were supported by the results of a quantitative research, which were conducted in two production enterprises in the area of metal furniture. One of them is located on Polish territory, the other in Ukraine. Both entities are managed in a similar way, their mission and vision is similar, system evaluation, reward also is the same. Such specificity study subjects allows to answer the question whether there are differences in the metaphorical perception of the organization. In the text, the metaphor is understood as a figure of speech, based on the combination of two phenomena and transfer the name of one phenomenon to another. It is important to underline, that metaphors used in research organizations with the development of the current culture. The end of the 70s and beginning of the 80th century brought the development of the concept of organizational culture.
