Summary/Abstract: This article is concerned with a short review of the development and the perspectives of the analytic philosophy of education. The first part of the text describes the historical development of the movement and some of the basic topics involved in the major works of the supporters of the analytical approach. The second part examines the reasons for using conceptual analysis in the field of education, and the latter – the need to apply conceptual analysis in conducting research on education in Bulgaria.
