Summary/Abstract: Small and medium enterprises have the greatest impact on building solid foundations for economic growth, better adapt to rapidly changing the market situation. Despite many barriers to their development, we can identify many of the key factors in their success. The aim of the article is to show the light of the literature on the subject’s level of development barriers and key success factors of small and medium enterprises.
