Folk dance art of Zhytomyr region: preservation of traditions

Summary/Abstract: The specificity of the local forms of traditions and the preservation of song and dance art of Zhytomyr region are being considered in this work. The group analysis of the folk dance culture and the special features of its existence points to the uniqueness of Polishchuks (people who live in the north-west of Ukraine, including Zhytomyr region) and significantly expands the conception of choreographic culture of Zhytomyr region which might be used in the educational programs of different kinds of institutions.
