Summary/Abstract: In our work we aim to present the life and activity of one of the hundreds of thousands of heroes who playedan active role in the Great War of 1916-1918, namely a case study on Mihail V. Gheorghiu, an impressivepersonality from Săgeata Village, Buzău County, that may still be considered a vivid example in nowadayscontext of celebrating the centenary of the event.
