ACCREDITATION OF EVIDENCE OBTAINED BY EXPERTISE IN THE COUNTRIES OF THE WESTERN BALKANS

Summary/Abstract: This paper will show the way of accreditation of forensic evidence in the direction of their reliability. As the accreditation of forensic treatment for the purpose of proving, the guarantor for interstate exchange of forensic data, this paper gives an overview of the current aspect of forensic accreditation in the countries of the Western Balkans. Through the presentation and analysis of accredited laboratories and accredited forensic methods in the Western Balkans region, realistic possibilities of using forensic evidence as the most reliable means of proving the detection and processing of criminal offenses of cross-border crime, theorism and corruption in the region of the Western Balkans countries are examined.
