Summary/Abstract: Currently, the process of communication and promotion is of extraordinary importance. It determines the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization. This article aims to demonstrate the basic principles of effective communication and promotion with external entities, as well as within public administration. Communication is an essential part of the proper functioning of public offices. It strengthens their ability to cope with the growing demands from the petitioners. Here, we are describing the basic communication tools and ways of using them. Special attention has been paid to the importance of e-communication, as in the near future it will become the basis for functioning of public administration entities. Similarly, e-promotion is gaining in importance. For this reason, we analyzed the possibility of promoting local governments on the Internet. We demonstrated the extent to which this medium influences the positive image and development of local governments.
