Presence of Religiosity in Images of Healers from the Beginning of the 21th Century

Summary/Abstract: The research aims to present and analyse the social and cultural aspect of the presence of religiosity (in its various forms and manifestations) in the image of modern healers. Empirically, it is based on information from field ethnographic researches, wich are covering geographically a large part of the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. An attempt is made to highlight the social and cultural processes that have taken place in Bulgarian society since the changes from 1989 and the way in which they influence the image of healers.
