PROSTORNI KAO POETIČKI OBRAT/I U NARATIVNOM DISKURSU BOSANSKOHERCEGOVAČKE KNJIŽEVNOSTI
SPATIAL AS POETIC TURN(S) IN NARRATIVE DISCOURSE OF BOSNIAN-HERZEGOVINIAN LITERATURE

Summary/Abstract: Considering a spatial turn as a poetic turn in Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature of the 20th century, this paper basically covers two directions, thus establishing two main hypotheses. The first hypothesis refers to the identity/identities of both an individual and a group – in what way the individual or group identity is comprehended and/or constructed in contact with otherness (others) and what is the role of narrative spaces in that process. The second hypothesis is related to the intercultural literature – how space as a category within a literary work establishes and strengthens intercultural ties of Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature. Namely, Bosnian-Herzegovinian writers of the 20th century have been finding the inspiration within the area of their activities as well as actual events in their society, so that literature becomes a reaction to social and historical events (occupation by others), thereby setting a new ethical, aesthetic and intercultural criteria. Bosnian-Herzegovinian literary scene of the 90s of 20th century onwards is characterized by the so-called anti-war writing, which is realized as a literary testimony of war apocalypse through the use of special semantic units. Therefore, spatial turn can be observed as the basic component for the interpretation of poetic turn in narrative discourse in Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature of the 20th century.
