Summary/Abstract: The article presents the person of the Rev. Bonifacy Miazek, a Polish poet, who emigrated from the country for political reasons in 1965. Since then he has been living and working in Austria. His output is not abundant, since so far he has had five volumes published: Ziemia otwarta [The Earth open], Szukam domu [I am looking for home], Powrót do domu [A return home], Sandomierskie wirydarze [The cloister gardens of Sandomierz], Wiersze [Poems]. He is still active as a poet, though, creating lyric poems filled with religious aspects, philosophical poems and texts full of love and longing for the homeland.
