Planning of fuel supply to fuel stations according to vendor managed inventory concepts – optimization approach

Summary/Abstract: The issue of determining the routes of inventory, which appears in the process of fuel supply to fuel stations planning, has been presented in the paper. Key Performance Indicators (KPI), used in co-operation between the supplier and the recipient of fuel transport services, are pointed out. Decision model of supply planning in the 7-day horizon is defined. The article contains also the evaluation of opportunities of using the model in the process of planning fuel supply in real life applications.
