WORKING ON OLIVE IN THE CONTEXT OF OCCUPATIONAL FOLKLORE (THE PATTERN OF VILLAGE GÖZKAYA, AYDIN)

Summary/Abstract: In this study including the informations about the occupational folklore at first, also, the criterions of the working fields to providing become a profession will be emphasized and dicussed working on olive if it is a profession or not, according to these criterions. Besides the some knowledges about the history of oil, olive and working on olive and after that, the informations about people in Gözkaya village (Koçarlı-Aydın) how to work on olive. About this context the believes-rituals, the methods of making olive sweet and the terms, idioms and other verbal components collected from the region will be analysed. At the end of the study, the findings will be evaluated and certain advices about the issue will be presented.
