Summary/Abstract: The article presents empirical check of the relationship between personality characteristic of the teacher and preferred socialization values – features which should be impressed into a child (obedience, thinking for oneself, popularity, help to others, diligence). Research conducted on a sample of more than five hundreds teachers from different schools shows higher acceptance for thinking for oneself than in the rest of society and lower acceptance of conformity (obedience). Main personality features strongest differentiating acceptances of those values (opposite to each other) are openness to experience (positive correlation with thinking for oneself and negative with conformity) and neuroticism (opposite relation).
