Barriers to knowledge sharing in information society

Summary/Abstract: In the new economy, in information society and in network society knowledge has grown in importance. Managing knowledge in organizations results in success or failure. Knowledge sharing is key in knowledge management process. There are numerous barriers to knowledge sharing including organizational, technical and human ones. The article covers the growing role of knowledge sharing in organizations. Selected tools of knowledge sharing and methods of eliminating barriers to knowledge sharing are covered.
