Summary/Abstract: The article presents the techniques used in translating of creative metaphors and realia from Bulgarian into German based on Violeta Kancheva’s book “The Princess from the braided basket”. We can identify Kancheva’s texts as “poetic prose”, based on her prevailing metaphorical style.
