Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to point out the existence of manuscripts XL homiliarum in Evangelia libri duo by Pope Gregory the Great, whose origin or place of storage are related to the early medieval Czech environment. An important finding in this sense is the evidence of the IV.D.7 and A CXXX manuscripts, which have not yet been known in connection with the research of Church Slavonic translation commissioned in 11th century early Přemyslid Bohemia (Besědy na evangelije). In the central part of the presented study, therefore, the interpretations are devoted to the description of the manuscript IV.D.7, to which also the description of the manuscript A CXXX is attached as complementary, and due to the close text connection to the mentioned manuscript, also the manuscript Clm 6263.
