Summary/Abstract: The article discusses valency of adjectives in three Slavic languages. The stress is put on following problems: lexicographic description of adjective valency, forms, semantic characteristics and number of complements, definite x indefinite forms of adjectives and valency of these forms. Differences between the languages are demonstrated by adjectives: hrdý, zvědavý, rád, hotový, ciekawy, беременная etc. The differences in the word order and some changes of valency are mentioned. The research is based on contexts from national corpora of the mentioned languages.
