Summary/Abstract: The article of Bronisława Dymara: “Values in the World and the Development of a Child’s World of Values” shows the essence and certain features of values as well as their functioning in the contemporary world and in a child’s life. The author looks at them in an integral way as ideas, actions and objects. Such an approach is possible in innovative education, the example of which is learning – comprehensive teaching. It enables children at different ages to learn the aspects of such values as, inter alia: good, bond, solidarity, helpfulness, cordiality, gratefulness, friendliness, selflessness, wisdom, righteousness etc. in situations, events and objects which correspond to their cognitive abilities (verified by the self‑assessment ability practiced). The deliberations about values are based on selected priorities. The most important of them is interpersonal space, and, thus what is between people. Many paths of development lead to understanding the richness of values uniting people in this space. They are: emotional, intellectual, social, ethical (development of conscience) as well as religious and reflective development.
