Summary/Abstract: During the last two decades, we have witnessed a rural exodus and a significant demographic concentration in some of the major cities of Albania. Of course, this social mobility drives the creation of a multicultural reality in these cities, but without being able to avoid conflicts between individuals or groups belonging to different sub-cultures. In these social spaces, cultural identities do not fade, but instead they are already developed in a society of interaction, differences and communication. These subjects exhibit the willingness to socialize, to participate in the same actions, to belong to the same group as the host community. And yet, at the same time, they are differentiated, discriminated and excluded. From this perspective, this paper analyzes several variables that prevent the normal development of interactive processes between groups with different cultural identity.
