Turystyka senioralna w kontekście sytuacji materialnej polskich emerytów
Senior tourism in the context of the economic status of the retired in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The ageing of societies in the developed countries has been observed for many years. In the group of the population boom of years 1946-1955, the population of the retired is growing each day. In the paper, the authors defined the notion of a senior; they presented the changing forms of tourist activity undertaken by seniors in various periods of the 21st century in the context of their economic situation. As a conclusion of the performed analyses, one should expect that the conviction od the 21st century seniors with reference to the benefits of active recreation and tourism will translate into the popularisation of the healthy, active lifestyle.
