Summary/Abstract: The perception attributed to the instruments in Anatolian sufism is related to the metaphorization of the idea of human-Goduniverse identity through instruments. In this study, the situation which the human being is perceived as an identical with the instrument and it is expressed in metaphors has been dealt with specific to bağlama (Turkish long neckted folk lute) and ney (Turkish end-blown reed flute). In this study, a determination was made about instrument perception which derived from Anatolian Sufism starting from the phrases and idioms in the Turkish language, the Turkish folk music lyrics and the work of Mevlana's Mesnevi. Especially specific to bağlama (Turkish long neckted folk lute) and ney (Turkishendblown reed flute), the process of humanization and deification of the instruments has been examined.
