Analysis of similarity of poviats to growth centers in zachodniopomorskie voivodships – dynamic approach

Summary/Abstract: In previous research the Authors have analyzed changes in the degree of polarization of poviats in Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship in relation to the main regional growth center – Szczecin in 2007–2012. In the current study changes in 2013–2016 were compared to changes in 2007–2012 and also three other growth centers (local) were indicated. The changes in similarity of poviats to new growth centers were examined in 2007–2016. Three areas characterizing the situation in region (voivodship) were considered: Firms, Demography and Labour market. According to the latter area the homogeneous groups were found. The Bray-Curtis measure was the measure of similarity. The data came from Local Data Bank of Central Statistical Office of Poland.
