Application of the generalised distance measure for classification of voivodeships with respect to the effectiveness of the forms of professional activisation

Summary/Abstract: The main goals of employment programmes implemented by the labour offices in Poland are the professional activisation of the unemployed persons and decrease of structural mismatch on the labour market. Evaluation analyses and analyses of their effectiveness are forced by the high costs of their realisation. The coefficients of cost and employment effectiveness are used for evaluation of efficiency of realised forms of professional activisation. The goal of the article is classification of voivodships with respect to effectiveness of use of financial resources of the Labour Fund for financing of basic forms of professional activisation by the poviat labour offices in the years 2008–2015. The initial evaluation of effectiveness of programmes was done on the basis of the map: cost effectiveness – employment effectiveness. Voivodships were classified by means of the Generelised Distance Measure.
