Grouping the powiats of the zachodniopomorskie voivodeship by the duration model of the firms

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to indicate the way of grouping the powiats of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship according to the duration model of the firms.The basic stage of the study was to estimate the Kaplan-Meier estimator and to use a test to verify the resemblance of survivors in individual powiats. The next stage of research was the construction duration tables of firms and analysis of functions of the intensity of firms’ liquidation for powiats. Were also conducted an analysis of correlation between the percentage of firms liquidated in the analysed period and the number of entities registered in the powiats. This study used data from the registry of REGON, related to companies established in Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship in 2009–2011 (21 powiats). These entities were observed to the end of 2013.
