The application of models that serve to forecast threats of bankruptcy of enterprises to the analysis of economic and financial standing of enterprises selected from WIG-Spożywczy Index

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to evaluate and compare the economic and financial standing of 3 joint stock companies included into WIG-Spożywczy index. These are companies Wawel S.A., Colian Holding S.A. and Zakłady Przemysłu Cukierniczego Otmuchów S.A. The methods used to predict the risk of bankruptcy of enterprise have been used to investigate the economic and financial condition of the above companies. The methods used in the article are multiple discriminant analysis and logit analysis.
