Summary/Abstract: Archives in Bosnia and Herzegovina are increasingly adopting modern ways of communication, which include various tools - websites, press conferences, scientific and professional meetings, but do not give up traditional formsof communication, such as publishing and exhibition activity. Organization of theexhibition is a way of opening the archive to the public, a means of attracting visitorsand forms of educational and pedagogical activity. Exhibitions are a continuous activity of the archives, they are intended for the general public and can receive excellent results regarding the number of visitors. Through the realization of this typeof cultural content, the dynamic development of archival activity can be monitored,while achieving a certain level of cooperation with the wider community, which,again, has a significant impact on the promotion and affirmation of the archivalprofession. Today, in the age of information technology, archives are confronted withgreat challenges because they have to adapt to changes, even in the segment ofexhibition activity. The archives in Bosnia and Herzegovina have this section of thework, but there are different approaches to this activity, both in terms of the numberof exhibitions held and in terms of their presentation in the public, ie the use of thiskind of activity as a tool for affirmation of archival activities. The work includesthe exhibition activity of archival institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last10 years (period 2008–2017), based on the research by the method of analyzingthe contents of web pages and questionnaires on the effects of exhibition activity inrelation to visitors of the archive and their affirmation.
