Summary/Abstract: This study describes Władysław Skoczylas’s teaching career. This outstanding Polish artist is recognized as the creator of the Polish woodcut school. Moreover, he was also an active teacher in the area of aesthetic education in the resurgent Polish state in the twentieth century. Since 1922, he headed the Department of Graphics at the School of Fine Arts, contributed to a significant development of the arts and raised a new generation of artists. The article also considers the artist’s views on aesthetic education, expressed in the study „On the Ways of Aesthetic Education”, which continues to be relevant even today.
