Summary/Abstract: Sovereignty is the quality of state power under which this power has the vocation to decide on behalf of its people without any interference in all internal and external affairs, respecting the sovereignty of other states, as well as the generally accepted principles and norms of international law. Under the constitutional provisions, the elected national sovereignty bodies of the Romanian people are the Parliament and the President of Romania. The power of the parliamentary system lies in the principle of national sovereignty, in the sense that the Parliament represents the people, and the parliamentarians are its delegates, who can not delegate their prerogatives to state officials.
