Summary/Abstract: One of the paths revealed by God to the Christians in order to reach the complete communion with Him is monachism or “the path of the angels”. The concept of “monachism” comes from the Greek word “μοναχος” which means “alone” or “unique”, but understood as a form of togetherness with the other members of the Church. Monachism is described by our Redeemer Jesus Christ in the Holy Gospel (Mt. 19,12; 22; 30) as an angelic state and, in the same time, as a form of anticipating the eschatological dimension.
