BRIEF THEOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS TOWARDS DEATH AND THE FUNERAL RITUAL

Summary/Abstract: In our attempt to briefly shape the contemporary man’s profile, we can observe how the antithetical suggestion life – death reveals itself everywhere while it generates the joy of the meeting between the Christian soul and the King of Life – Christ – but also produces a feeling of keen fear, almost irrational for the man trapped in the web of materiality. Therefore, considering the continuous actuality of these aspects, this paper aims to offer a very narrow image of the meaning of Death – as „the doorway to Life“.
