Summary/Abstract: The main representatives of the artistic avant-garde at the beginning of the 20th century – cubism – Braque and Picasso strongly influenced each other’s art and life. They were two equally string and different personalities, almost the opposite of each other in many respects. The author sketches their portraits in relation with Alex Danchev’s biography dedicated to George Braque, and with the epoch in which they lived.
