Summary/Abstract: The paper will focus on The Waltz Invention, a 1938 play by Vladimir Nabokov, especially in connection with Kubrick’s Dr Strangelove, Joyce’s Ulysses and the Esslinian Theatre of the Absurd. Nabokov’s skills as a playwright will also be examined, and parallels made with some of his prose works.
