Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to evaluate the innovativeness of the biopharmaceutical sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The authors have also conducted a preliminary analysis of the structure and performance of the sector. The paper indicates a significant upward growth potential of the biopharmaceutical sector in Central and Eastern Europe in the region under study.
