Summary/Abstract: The embargo on imports of certain agri-food products to Russia in August 2014 caused serious disturbances in Polish exports of many food products, including fruits and vegetables. Producers and exporters of these products are faced with the challenges of reorienting their foreign sales into new geographical markets. The aim of the article was to present changes in the value and structure of Polish exports of fresh fruits and vegetables in 2010-2016, with particular emphasis on the effects of the Russian import ban. The research, based on the study of literature and analysis of statistical data from the WITS Comtrade and Eurostat databases, revealed that although the attempts to redirect exports have been partially successful, the situation has not been fully stabilized and the exports of several groups of fruits and vegetables continued to decline. Further research should be conducted to identify opportunities and measures for increasing diversification of Polish food exports.
