Summary/Abstract: Social irresponsibility of the enterprise is a category that is still not well recognized in both theory and management practice. The purpose of the epistemological article is to identify elements related to the notional and conceptual apparatus of social irresponsibility of an enterprise. It presents the main research trends related to the subject matter, as well as selected assumptions and internal and external conditions for the adaptation of the concept. The main conclusion from the research is a postulate regarding the necessity to include considerations regarding the social irresponsibility of the enterprise into the discourse related to corporate social responsibility for a full and objectivized understanding of organizational reality in these areas.
