Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to identify and analyze the most important factors shaping the motivation system in the opinion of employees from the selected group of family businesses, which was also the purpose of the study. For its achievement, literature and empirical studies will be analyzed by using the chi-square statistics dependency analysis and the T-Czuprow convergence coefficient. Verification of the collected research material showed that motivational systems in the surveyed companies are slightly different from those occurring in non-family companies, the same applies to the rank of motivational factors.
