Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the text of the 41-st chapter of the first Slavonic translation of the Pandectus by Nicon of the Black Mount, which includes excerpts from Eratopokriseis by Anastasios of Sinai. Presented is a textological parallel between the 41 chapter and the text in the Symeon’s Miscellany (According to Svetoslav’s copy of 1073). Determined are the language differences between the first and the second translation of the Pandectes in the framework of the analyzed text and its equivalents in the Svetoslav’s copy of the Symeon’s Miscellany. The presented so far material proves as well the significant language similarity between the first translation of the Pandectes and the translation in the Symeon’s Miscellany (According to Svetoslav’s copy of 1073), as some of the distinctive features of the Middlebulgarian translation of the Nicon’s Pandectеs.
