Summary/Abstract: Erika Fám’s critical essay reviews Radu Afrim’s latest project, staged at the Tamási Áron Theatre of Sfântu Gheorge. An Illegitimate Child Tells Stories in Front of a Blue Background is the contemporary, free theatrical adaptation of Ferenc Molnár’s Glass Shoe. The reference system of this production addresses the local public in an exclusive manner. Afrim combines his signature visual theatre with an associative dramaturgy. While maintaining the core of the original story, the performance thematises the topics of love and home, both metaphorically and literally.
