Summary/Abstract: Knowledge transfer is strategically important for general sustainability of business, and this contribution aims to provide some insights into one specific area – the complexity of human resource management in foreign-owned subsidiaries – especially in the light of longitudinal empirical research undertaken in 2011-2013 and 2015-2016. Knowledge management and knowledge transfer play a critical role in HRM at the local level and also between HQ and local subsidiaries.
