Summary/Abstract: Uberization or uberification is a term which appeared in a literature and Internet sources relatively recently. Its genesis can be related to the popularization of different models of activities characteristic for a new trend in market economy, so called ride sourcing. The flagship example of a company which was among the first ones making such services available was Uber Technologies Inc., an American enterprise established in 2009. Uberization is understood as both, a number of economic and social issues and business models providing services with the use of mobile technologies, yet based on principles typical for sharing economy. This work presents an analysis of the impact of uberization on the prospect of further development of the labour market. It also describes threats and dilemmas occurring while implementing the principles of uberization into various fields of social and economic life. The introduction to my considerations concerning uberization is followed by a brief characteristics of the Uber’s business model and its relation to sharing economy.
