Availability of Warehouse Area as a Factor of the Silesian Voivodeship's Development

Summary/Abstract: With the advancement of the TSL industry, the storage business is growing very rapidly. It is implemented both for the needs of enterprises and in the form of services offered on the market. This trend entails the need to develop warehouse areas that are the main element of the logistics infrastructure. At the same time, they are a component of the infrastructure of the region or of the country, giving the opportunity to develop both warehousing services and logistics services as well as other areas of activity (industry, trade). In reference to this, the aim of the article is to present the availability of warehouse area in the Silesian Voivodeship in quantitative terms against other regions of the country. Also pay attention to the role of the available warehouse area in the development of the voivodeship and its main activity.
