Summary/Abstract: The evolving Emergency Medical Services provides the opportunity to create a well-organized structure that will effectively ensure medical assistance to any person in a state of urgent health threat. The main purpose of this article is to know the opinion of paramedics on the Emergency Medical Services in Poland. The studies have been conducted among paramedics work in rescue teams in seven emergency medical stations: in Kutno, Żychlin, Łowicz, Zduny, Opoczno, Sochaczew Gostynin. The study was also attended by employees of Emergency Department of Hospital District in Sochaczew. It was examined 104 respondents who answered on the 23 questions contained in an anonymous survey. The study shows that, according to paramedics EMS works well but it has disadvantages and problems in particular financial issues. Polish EMS is rated positively by Polish paramedics in terms of legal organization. Paramedics are satisfied with the legal form which was surrounded by their professional group. Most believe that the Act of 8 September 2006 on EMS protect them adequately, and the scope of their duties and powers are clearly presented.
