Union Funds as a Determinant of the Region Innovation Growth on the Base of West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: In this article author thought through the situation of the West Pomerania Voivodeship growth. The result of the analysis is that the GDP per capita of the West Pomerania Voivodeship according to the domestic average and also innovation standard of the West Pomerania companies is on the low level. Article shows the need of the innovative growth of the companies, that has important meaning on the economic growth of the region. As a result from the research in West Pomerania small and average companies is the interest of the innovation financing from the Union programmes. However the chances for the funds are not so significant, because EU funds are strictly limited. Also negative is the fact, that despite the companies project innovative growth, their innovation projects are weakly advanced in conception. Only few percent of the respondents pointed important level of the innovation conception advance.
