Summary/Abstract: Article shows the importance of internal marketing, with the special acknowledgment of competence lifting, motivating process and creation of possibilities for the attendants in territorial self -government units to develop. It could go far towards more effective function and better agency customer service. Professional, well educated and content worker performs his duties much better, what has an impact on the customers’ satisfaction. Conducted researches show that motivation of the crew to self development and creation of the new solutions is not sufficient in the opinion of communal and county agency workers. Activities in the area of internal marketing are taken mostly by the executives in the opinion of responders. They focus mostly on communication at work, good atmosphere and trainings system. Wider use of internal marketing could be fundamental factor of the organization development. Development of the communes and county depends mostly on quality of the personnel working in the local institutions, that should be distinguished by creativity and should be motivated to taking challenges and make the most of emerging chances.
