Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research was an analysis of the application of an anti-dumping duty applied to Chinese exporters. This analysis is done in regard to an SME (Small/Medium sized Enterprise) that wishes to assess the possibility of importing cups from China, which involve its core business. It starts from the assumption that for the SME analyzed, cups imported from China can be cheaper than to buy the product from domestic suppliers. The research question is posed as follows: is it more profitable to import from a supplier in China or to buy the product from a domestic supplier? It is a documentary research, from product information applied to a case of an SME in the state of Guanajuato. The approach will give the research will be qualitative, since it allows to use the collection and analysis of data to refine the research questions or reveal new questions on the interpretation process. The research design is not experimental, descriptive transversal exploratory and causal, the process will be carried out inductive and interpretive. It will establish the analysis of this case for an SME in Guanajuato State, which will guide the research of a comprehensive and holistic analysis of the problem.
