Summary/Abstract: This paper is based on a survey made among the students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the students from the Faculty of European Studies, Babeş-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. The purpose of the survey was to identify the students’ opinions concerning the study of foreign languages at bachelor level, given some recent changes in curricula. The results showed clearly that students are fully aware of the importance of foreign languages and do not agree with those changes. They are in favor of studying several languages and for their entire bachelor period, i.e. three years. So the question which stays on is: “Do foreign languages matter enough to give up experiments and take into account the students’ needs?”
